Dakota Friday

Barely three feet tall, freshman Dakota Friday has fifteen minutes to find a clean pair of underwear before school picture day and gather the courage to talk to Amelia, his former childhood best friend and longtime crush, whom he's convinced has forgotten him. What begins as a simple morning spirals into escalating chaos, sending him out a window, chasing runaway underwear through the neighborhood, and getting pooped on by a rather angry bird, until he's left with one option: an oversized pair of underwear held up by suspenders. When his jerry-rigged undergarment is revealed in front of the entire school, Dakota ultimately learns that growing up means owning what life hands you instead of letting it define you—and that Amelia may not have forgotten him after all.
